Clearly Filtered, a California-based maker of pitchers, filters and water bottles on a mission to provide clean drinking water, needed a more robust subscription platform as its product line grew. After moving from WordPress/Authorize.net to Shopify, they selected Recharge for its customization and recurring-billing capabilities to deliver the easy, sustainable subscription experience their customers wanted.
Recharge implemented its subscription app and customer portal (self-service management, pause/change billing/order date) plus reporting for 30–60–90 day revenue projections. As a result, subscriptions now account for over 70% of transactions, a new 3‑pack filter subscription generated $100K in the first 90 days, roughly 50% of new customers convert to the VIP subscription program, and the Clearly Filtered team has reduced routine support time and improved inventory forecasting.
