Raiffeisen built an AI assistant to automatically handle millennials’ most common questions

Raiffeisen, a leading Swiss retail bank, needed to attract millennial customers and respond to competition from challenger banks like N26 and personal finance bots such as Cleo. Facing complex, multi-turn banking conversations and strict data-privacy requirements, Raiffeisen engaged Rasa to build an AI-driven personal finance assistant that could deliver a more conversational, secure customer experience.

Using Rasa, Raiffeisen developed an on‑prem AI assistant capable of handling longer dialogues and enabling non-technical team members to iterate quickly from real user data. The team built a successful proof of concept in two months, deployed it on Facebook Messenger, improved AI accuracy through rapid iteration, and is now planning to extend the Rasa-powered capabilities to its web and mobile channels.
