Teufel, a Berlin-based audio specialist founded in 1979 and Europe’s largest direct-to-consumer audio distributor, wanted to grow beyond its core DACH market and build brand awareness across Europe (Netherlands, Belgium, France, Poland, Italy, Spain). The company aimed for 30% YoY affiliate revenue growth in DACH while also gaining market-specific insights and scalable affiliate programs to drive international sales.
Teufel partnered with Rakuten Advertising, launching simultaneous, test-and-learn affiliate programs across Europe using a CPO model, diversified publisher recruitment, and cookieless multi-touch attribution via Exactag to “glocalize” winning tactics. The approach delivered strong results: affiliate revenue in DACH rose 80% YoY (vs. 30% target), traffic grew 53% YoY, and new markets showed steady early growth and increased brand awareness, with plans to expand publisher partnerships further.
