Field Museum conducts online studies using QuestionPro for measuring and aligning culture patterns with success

The Field Museum, a large natural history museum in Chicago founded in 1921 with roughly 40 million specimens and over 150 scientists, needed to measure its workplace culture accurately and surface the patterns that influence organizational success. Leadership wanted to identify behaviors and attitudes that hindered collaboration, make targeted changes where they would have the biggest impact, and continue measuring progress over time.

QuestionPro’s WorkXO culture assessment was deployed to the entire staff, yielding more than 300 complete responses and cloud-based analytics that exposed a largely traditional culture—contemporary on growth and inclusion but low on agility, transparency and cross‑silo communication. The museum translated those insights into six priorities and 41 action items, mixing quick wins (brown‑bag knowledge shares) with larger initiatives (new intranet and internal community), creating a focused, measurable roadmap to improve communication, collaboration and alignment with organizational goals.
