A Qualtrics Case Study
Washington University in St. Louis, an independent university with about 3,400 faculty and nearly 12,000 students, needed a scalable way to provide 360-degree feedback and leadership training for MBA students—many of whom are working professionals. Their prior five-step process using a conventional survey tool was time-consuming and made it nearly impossible to aggregate data while preserving respondent anonymity.
By adopting Qualtrics 360, the school built easy-to-use 360 surveys, distributed them quickly, and applied its own competency framework while letting students track progress in real time without compromising rater confidentiality. The change cut assessment and reporting time by 80%, delivered professional individualized reports (including class averages and competency scores), and helped students identify strengths and gaps to guide career choices.
