A Qualtrics Case Study
The Cornell Institute for Social and Economic Research (CISER) supports Cornell social scientists and economists with research and data tools. Research Associate Florio Arguillas needed to survey 5,000 student-athletes but was hampered by a buggy prior system where variables disappeared, tracking respondents was difficult, and creating surveys took days.
Arguillas adopted Qualtrics Research Suite to build and deploy surveys in minutes using skipping logic, branching, and panel management; Qualtrics automatically tracked participants and sent reminder emails. The switch boosted response rates, reduced survey fatigue and research time (surveys built in an hour vs. days), produced clean, reportable datasets (CSV/SPSS), and enabled students to learn survey creation in a single day.
