A Qualtrics Case Study
Cisco’s Corporate Affairs division, which builds scalable tech-driven social programs, needed a better pulse on program participants but was hampered by an IT-dependent survey process. Regular surveys required custom coding (especially for translations), ad hoc tools lacked advanced logic, reporting was fragmented across systems, and the lack of single sign-on made deployment and respondent tracking labor intensive.
By adopting Qualtrics Research Suite, Cisco empowered nontechnical staff to build sophisticated surveys, export/import translations, and use advanced skip logic while centralizing reports and enabling SSO integration with NetSpace. The change eliminated the IT bottleneck, enabled proactive feedback channels, increased responses by about 10% outside email, and delivered major time savings (about 80 hours per translated survey plus multihour savings per report and in post-processing), while producing cleaner, more useful data.
