Belkin, the Playa Vista, CA–based maker of consumer technology products (over 2,000 SKUs and ~200 patent designs), struggled to manage quantitative research across multiple product lines. The company needed a centralized, flexible online research platform with sample/panel capabilities to consolidate vendors, streamline requests, and improve collaboration among research team members.
Belkin implemented Qualtrics Research Suite and Qualtrics Panels, creating a shared survey library and collaboration tools to run product and concept tests (e.g., WeMo), packaging heat maps, quarterly NPS, and employee surveys. This shift enabled in-house sampling, faster new-hire ramp-up, lower research costs, reduced reliance on outside panels, and consumer-driven improvements to products and packaging.
