US Insurance Company, a national insurer, faced an unsupportable legacy customer-communication environment made up of 15 disparate systems that slowed product changes (an average 100 hours to make an endorsement change and nearly 100 days to complete work). To replace that fragmented setup with a single enterprise-wide, streamlined solution, the company engaged Quadient (formerly GMC Software) and evaluated/implemented Quadient’s GMC Inspire composition and workflow platform through a rapid proof-of-concept.
Quadient implemented GMC Inspire into the insurer’s existing environment to centralize templates, automate routing and assembly, enable multichannel output and e-signature, and reduce manual handoffs. The result was a single, easy-to-use solution with a 75% reduction in development workload/costs, faster time-to-market, and the ability to make document changes in hours rather than days. Measurable impacts include a Texas project where 70 form revisions dropped from ~500 hours to 110 hours (about $300,000 saved, a 6–7x cost reduction) and a California project of 100+ forms completed in 240 hours.
