Santander UK wins 2019 Celent Model Bank Award for Commercial Customer Onboarding with Quadient Inspire

Santander UK sought to overhaul its commercial onboarding, which was slow, paper‑heavy and frustrating for customers and relationship teams. To create a customer‑ and employee‑centric Corporate Digital Onboarding (CDO) process, Santander partnered with Quadient for dynamic form functionality and orchestration, integrating Quadient with API services, e‑signing and robotic process automation.

Using Quadient’s dynamic form and orchestration layer, Santander replaced 39 paper forms with one multifunction digital form covering 14 entity types and 72 products, pre‑populating about 50% of fields and cutting fields by ~80%. The Quadient‑enabled solution, combined with APIs, DocuSign e‑signing and Santander’s RPA, reduced average onboarding to two days (SME online completion averaged 15 minutes in testing), freed up roughly 10% of relationship‑manager capacity, and consolidated multiple signatures into a single parallel signing workflow.
