Ameritas Group Division, part of Ameritas Life Insurance Corp., faced an urgent need to replace an aging customer communications management system that generated roughly a million policies, certificates and ID cards per year. The legacy software constrained capabilities, risked noncompliance and could not support expanding digital delivery channels, so Ameritas evaluated multiple vendors and selected Quadient’s Quadient Inspire after successful proofs of concept.
Quadient implemented Quadient Inspire in two phases—migrating high-volume ID cards first, then policies and certificates—delivering dramatic throughput and automation gains. Batch ID production that once took two hours now completes in about 15 minutes (more than 10× faster), and a 5,000‑certificate job that used to take a week now finishes in under two hours; overall output and SLA performance improved, manual intervention and staffing pressures dropped, and Ameritas can now expand to email and real‑time document generation thanks to Quadient.
