IFDS Improves Customer Experience

International Financial Data Services (IFDS), a leading investor recordkeeping provider serving over 17 million investor accounts and clients such as Virgin Money and the Aberdeen Group, needed to improve customer experience by streamlining document design, data handling and print/mail turnaround—much of which was outsourced. To bring roughly 50% of its bulk print and mail operation in‑house, IFDS selected Quadient and its GMC Inspire composition and workflow solution, which offered composition tools, workflow automation, integrated mailsort, online proofing and security.

Quadient implemented GMC Inspire to centralize composition, automate workflows, enable live visual design and instant online proofing, and integrate mailsort and MIS reporting so IFDS could merge multiple data sources and control production. The result: faster turnaround and shorter time‑to‑market, improved customer service, reduced reliance on external printers (bringing ~50% in‑house), better regulatory compliance, new business wins and greater cross‑/up‑sell opportunities across IFDS’s 17 million investor accounts.
