Royal Caribbean sought to modernize video security across its fleet to improve passenger safety, quickly identify incidents, and support investigations. The cruise line evaluated 16 vendors for a software-only video recording solution that could work with its existing infrastructure and allow remote monitoring from its Miami headquarters. Qognify and its NiceVision solution were selected for the company-wide project.

Qognify implemented NiceVision across Royal Caribbean’s 32 ships, integrating existing analog cameras and DVRs while supporting a move toward full IP video. The rollout was completed in less than 3 days per ship, with up to 400 cameras per vessel. Qognify’s solution gave Royal Caribbean remote fleet-wide monitoring, better event management, and stronger investigation tools to help protect passengers and crew.
