Bucks County Community College, a community college in southeast Pennsylvania, needed a better way to manage student walk-ins for Enrollment Services and the Testing Center. Its clipboard sign-in process was unreliable and made it hard to track visitors, measure traffic, and create a smoother student experience. The college turned to Qminder’s queuing software to improve check-in and waiting for its 10,000 full-time and part-time students.

Qminder implemented an iPad-based check-in kiosk with custom Bucks branding and an Apple TV monitor showing a real-time waitlist. The solution helped Bucks County Community College track visitor volume, reasons for visits, and peak times, improving staffing and service decisions. Staff learned the system quickly, the front desk became less chaotic, and administrators could monitor the queue remotely and call students in when ready, creating a more organized and efficient experience.
