A Qmatic Case Study
University West in Trollhättan, Sweden — a modern university with about 13,000 students — consolidated multiple support functions into one service centre and suddenly faced heavy visitor pressure, crowded counters and stressed staff as the autumn term approached. To organise the flow and improve the work environment they turned to Qmatic, deploying Qmatic Solo along with Intro 8 self-service kiosks, digital signage and staff displays.
Qmatic implemented a web-based queue management solution with three dedicated queues (service centre, IT support, International office), staff displays and reporting tools, allowing visitors to wait outside and staff to control flow from their computers. The Qmatic system reduced queues and chaos, provided actionable data (about 4,000 tickets printed in the first 2–3 weeks), improved staff and student experience and can be scaled over time.
