Shopping by appointment made easy at Scapino

Scapino, the Netherlands’ leading shoe retailer with 171 stores, needed a fast way to offer shopping by appointment when the country reopened after COVID-19 lockdowns. The challenge was managing large volumes of bookings across many branches while keeping customer flow safe and efficient. Scapino turned to Qmatic for an appointment scheduling solution, specifically Qmatic Orchestra with web booking capabilities.

Qmatic implemented a cloud version of Orchestra 7, connected to Scapino’s email server and paired with its Appointment Management and Web Booking modules. This let customers easily choose available time slots, book 30-minute shopping visits or return-item appointments, and receive confirmations by email or SMS. The system went live in just a few days and delivered immediate impact: 12,000 bookings were made on the first day, helping Scapino maintain social distancing and achieve smooth customer flow.
