Special Olympics USA Games needed a way to manage long queues, large crowds, and multiple categories of health screenings during its week-long event, while ensuring the Special Olympics Healthy Athletes program remained accessible and efficient for thousands of athletes. Qmatic provided an appointment and virtual queuing solution, using Qmatic Orchestra to help organize check-ins and flow across the venue.
Qmatic implemented online appointment scheduling, virtual queue management, SMS notifications, and clear digital/physical wayfinding to make the process stress-free for athletes, coaches, and staff. The result was a smoother experience for everyone, with over 13,000 health screenings completed for 3,900 athletes across seven disciplines in just seven days, while also reducing staff stress by eliminating lines and crowds.
