Ica Maxi Erikslund faced rising customer demand for convenient online grocery shopping and needed a simple, reliable way to let shoppers collect orders when it suited them while handling high volumes efficiently. To meet this challenge the store implemented Qmatic Click & Collect for Ica from vendor Qmatic, aiming to streamline collections and improve clarity for both customers and staff.
Qmatic helped deliver a drive‑thru collection outlet with SMS notifications, a link-based arrival check‑in and staff alerts via Qmatic screens and a mobile app so orders are handed to cars without customers leaving them. The result: online sales now represent about 5% of turnover, roughly 80% (8 out of 10) of online customers use the drive‑thru, and the store dispatches around 500 orders per week — boosting capacity, customer satisfaction and loyalty.
