WaBa Grill Delivers Intelligent Offers and Rewards to Make Customers’ Lives Easie

WaBa Grill, one of the nation’s leading healthy rice bowl chains with nearly 200 locations, needed to catch up in the digital space—lacking the right tech to scale, launch a rewards app, and deliver a seamless digital ordering, pickup and delivery experience. To address this, WaBa partnered with PAR Punchh, implementing Punchh Loyalty, Online Ordering, Coupons/Promos and eClub services to create an integrated digital foundation.

PAR Punchh designed and developed WaBa’s first mobile rewards app and integrated it with POS (Toast V3), ordering partner Olo, and SendGrid for messaging, enabling targeted segmentation, customer journeys and omnichannel outreach. The program produced measurable impact: 51% increase in loyalty sales YoY, 57% increase in loyalty visits YoY, 25% conversion from eClub to Loyalty YoY, record Q2 2021 sales and a 30.6% same-store sales lift vs. 2019, with digital sales now ~25% of total—demonstrating PAR Punchh’s role in WaBa’s growth.
