Pancheros Mexican Grill, a fast-casual chain with about 70 locations, needed better access to customer data, a diagnostic tool for franchisees, and a more rewarding digital experience to drive loyalty. In 2017 Pancheros partnered with PAR Punchh to build a loyalty-first program—Burritos with Benefits®—using Punchh Loyalty, eClub, coupons/promos, a mobile rewards app and integrations with POS (Brink) and online ordering (Olo).
PAR Punchh implemented lifecycle marketing, customer segmentation, omnichannel offers and quarterly scorecards for franchisees, driving strong results: 22% participation QoQ, 26% increase in loyalty sales YoY, 18% increase in loyalty visits YoY, a 31% rise in same-store loyalty sales (Q1 2021) and 131% growth in same-store online loyalty sales, while a National Queso Day promotion lifted redemptions by 202%.
