Gates Cambridge, the scholarship trust supporting outstanding postgraduate scholars at the University of Cambridge, needed to replace an old, limited Sage finance system. The team relied heavily on manual Excel reporting, and finance data was difficult for non-finance staff to understand and use, creating major challenges for management information and reporting.
