SoCalGas, a major natural gas utility, faced the challenge of managing a large-scale upgrade of six million gas meters. This success highlighted the need for a structured approach to change, leading them to establish an Enterprise Change Management (ECM) team. They partnered with Prosci to build this organizational change capability, utilizing its research, methodology, and tools.

The solution from Prosci involved comprehensive role-based training, including its Certification Program, ECM Boot Camp, and Train-the-Trainer Program. This enabled SoCalGas to develop a common language for change and significantly improve its change maturity. The results were substantial, with a change maturity score rising from 1.7 to 3.9 out of 5. On specific projects, Prosci's solutions helped achieve a 145% improvement in processing speeds and ensured seamless system transitions.
