Southwest Airlines Cargo (SWA Cargo), which operates more than 3,400 flights a day, faced a fast-moving but cumbersome pricing operation: pricing updates were handled in offline spreadsheets that slowed visibility and analysis, reward programs had to be manually reviewed and applied and were limited to single-tier incentives, and sales teams lacked prescriptive pricing guidance—leading to slow, inconsistent quotes and missed revenue opportunities.
SWA Cargo implemented PROS to centralize customer and pricing data, automate multi-tier reward application, and deliver prescriptive analytics and role-specific dashboards plus price envelopes (floor, target, expert) for sellers. The change cut administrative work, reduced time-to-quote, gave sales scientifically backed rate guidance, and is expected to drive greater volume and revenue uplift through more flexible incentives and faster, smarter pricing.
