Azores Airlines, a regional carrier in Portugal, needed to accelerate digital growth and compete more effectively while managing a small team, complex interline operations, and regulatory requirements. With PROS and its Dynamic Offers and Digital Retail solutions, the airline sought to modernize pricing and retailing, and later added airTRFX to improve discoverability and expand personalized offers.
PROS helped Azores Airlines implement a branded fare strategy in just 3 months and continuously adapt its digital retail approach. The results were strong: sales grew 82.6% from 2022 to 2023, web channel market share increased from 25% to 30%, coupon sales rose 47.9%, and average coupon fare increased 22.7%. In 2024, revenue grew another 16% and market share rose 2% more, with airTRFX expected to drive an additional 5% sales growth.
