Mass General Brigham Helps Match Patients with Providers

Mass General Brigham, a Massachusetts-based non-profit integrated healthcare system that encompasses 12 health systems and about 80,000 providers, needed a reliable patient-facing "find a provider" capability. Previous attempts failed because provider data was scattered across manual spreadsheets and crosswalks with no way to match records enterprise-wide. To address this, Mass General Brigham engaged Profisee and deployed Profisee MDM.

Profisee used Profisee MDM to ingest and integrate provider data from disparate systems, match and merge records, and apply survivorship rules to create golden, consumption-ready records. As a result, Mass General Brigham launched a simplified "find a provider" search where patients can filter by specific needs, and the improved data foundation now supports expanded use cases—such as medical research and population health management—across its 12 systems and roughly 80,000 providers.
