Aker BP, an oil and gas exploration and production company operating on the Norwegian continental shelf, needed to improve the precision, governance, and usability of its exploration data as the basin became more complex. Its legacy data management systems lacked automation, and the company wanted to unify and standardize data to support growing investments in AI. Aker BP selected Profisee for master data management to support its Microsoft Purview and Microsoft Fabric–based data platform.

Working with Profisee and Avanade EMEA, Aker BP deployed the solution in under twelve months and produced more than 70 AI-ready data products. The initiative gave the company governed, self-service access to high-quality data across the business and supported predictive maintenance, robotics integration, and better resource use. Aker BP also identified 70–90 additional data products to extend the impact of Profisee’s MDM platform.
