Sociedad Boliviana de Cemento S.A. (SOBOCE) is Bolivia’s leading cement, concrete and aggregate manufacturer and the largest Siemens subsidiary in the country. It faced a fragmented, manual process for equipment and supply purchases across multiple divisions and locations, needed to prevent overspending across complex subdivisional budgets, and relied on slow bureaucratic approval routes.

ProcessMaker implemented an automated Purchase Request workflow that routes requests by cost and parameters using a built-in organizational chart, integrates SOBOCE’s retailer Excel list, lets teams select and complete purchases, and automatically updates divisional budgets and notifies Finance. The solution increased control and efficiency by enforcing budget rules and dynamic routing, while reducing ambiguity and communication delays for SOBOCE’s ~40 users.
