The National University of Colombia in Medellín, a major higher-education institution with multiple campuses and tens of thousands of students, faced inefficiencies in its Human Resources division: roughly 20 requests per day were processed with paper, Word files and spreadsheets across five offices and 30+ staff, causing lost documents, slow response times, security risks, unclear productivity metrics and frequent complaints from faculty and staff.
