A ProcessMaker Case Study
The Fiscal Public Ministry of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, responsible for citizen complaints and inquiries, set out to modernize under an e‑government and quality‑policy drive. It struggled with paper‑based workflows that caused delays, no simultaneous multi‑user access, poor case history and tracking, frequent omissions, and an accumulation of files.
To address this the Ministry reengineered processes, modeled them with BPMN, and implemented ProcessMaker integrated with OMBU and other systems. In a six‑month rollout they automated about 20 workflows for 1,200 users across six centers (handling 150–200 cases/month), which increased visibility, tracking, multi‑user collaboration and processing efficiency while reducing paperwork, storage needs, cycle times and errors.
