Bloomington Public School District 87 - Customer Case Study

Bloomington Public School District 87, which serves about 5,600 students across 10 schools, faced a sudden compliance challenge when Illinois Senate Bill 7 required revamped staff appraisals. The district’s paper-based evaluation process was too slow and error-prone to meet the new requirements, so they partnered with ProcessMaker to move evaluations online.

In three months Bloomington deployed ProcessMaker Campus to automate staff evaluations, now serving nearly 700 staff with 400+ process instances monthly. Integration with Skyward removed manual data entry, while faster workflows and reporting improved transparency, collaboration, and integrity of ratings. The automated, encrypted system increased data security and is saving the district an estimated 1,300 hours annually, with plans to expand for future needs.
