VolkerRail, a 1,200-employee business in the VolkerWessels group, needed better transparency and control over purchasing after only seeing spend at invoice stage. To standardize and automate ordering — particularly non product-related purchases — VolkerRail selected Proactis to provide a connected ordering platform that integrates with their ERP and HR systems.

Proactis implemented an automated order-to-invoice solution with approved supplier catalogs, an automated authorization flow and dashboards for real-time budget and commitment visibility. The Proactis deployment cut administrative work by four FTEs, reduced maverick buying, delivered at least a 5% saving on total indirect spend and shifted procurement to a more strategic, data-driven role.
