Proactis helps National Trust achieve £30 million savings as part of its procurement strategy transformation

National Trust, the UK heritage conservation charity, needed to streamline procurement across 14,000+ staff and manage more than 24,000 suppliers while reducing its £360 million third-party spend. Working with Proactis, it aimed to modernize outdated, paper-based supplier onboarding and improve control over purchasing through a new supplier management approach alongside its ERP environment.

Proactis implemented a supplier self-service and purchasing system that let suppliers maintain their own records while guiding staff to approved suppliers. The result was a streamlined supplier base from 24,000 to 12,000, onboarding times cut from weeks to minutes, and a procurement transformation that delivered a reported £30 million savings programme.
