Places for People, a UK placemaking and regeneration business managing over 195,000 homes and 120+ leisure facilities, needed greater transparency, auditability and compliance across its tendering and contract processes. To meet European e-tendering requirements and eliminate siloed contract registers, Places for People turned to Proactis, deploying Proactis Sourcing, Contract Management (including the supplier portal) and Invoice Automation to centralise tendering, contract and supplier data.

Proactis implemented a single, centrally hosted platform that holds all tender documentation (30–40 formal tenders a year), integrates with the Group’s Unit4 ERP via the supplier portal, and automates invoice capture to enable straight-through processing. The result: full electronic tendering five years ahead of the directive, clear visibility of supply‑chain duplication, consolidation of previously multiple contracts (where four or five existed now often reduced to one), and joined-up Procurement and Finance—delivered by Proactis.
