Lancaster University saves time and resource by managing purchasing in one central system with Proactis

Lancaster University needed to streamline purchasing, speed up order processing, and cut the manual administration involved in buying goods and services across a large institution. The University chose Proactis to support this goal, using its marketplace and procurement portal to give staff a single online destination for approved suppliers, catalogs, and punch-outs.

Proactis implemented a secure intranet-based “online store” with single sign-on and seamless integration to Lancaster University’s Unit4 ERP system, centralizing 23 hosted catalogs and 32 punch-out connections. The result was faster ordering, less off-contract and maverick spending, better purchasing visibility, and more time for staff to focus on higher-value tasks.
