Dura Vermeer adopts messaging standard for electronic data traffic while controlling spend with Proactis

Dura Vermeer, a Dutch construction, infrastructure and engineering group, needed to move its Construction and Real Estate division from paper to digital supplier communications while gaining tighter control of spend. Working with Proactis, the company set out to adopt the regional messaging standard for electronic data traffic to speed up and standardize the exchange of invoices, orders and confirmations and improve cooperation with chain partners.

Proactis implemented the messaging standard, ran a pilot with five suppliers and then helped roll out connectivity to a further 40 suppliers, enabling digital exchange of invoice messages, purchase orders and order confirmations. The Proactis-led solution has given Dura Vermeer more grip on corporate expenses, improved digital cooperation across contractors, wholesalers and manufacturers, and delivered measurable supplier connectivity and process efficiency gains.
