Public Charter School Successfully Uses Online Speech Therapy as Part of Blended Learning Initiative

Rocky Mount Preparatory School, a tuition-free K–12 public charter in Rocky Mount, NC serving about 1,200 students, uses a blended learning model but faced inconsistent special education services due to a regional shortage of speech‑language pathologists and long travel times. This left some students without reliable therapy and concerned parents questioning the program’s effectiveness.

To address the gap, Rocky Mount implemented PresenceLearning’s online speech therapy, expanding from about 30 to nearly 50 students.
