Mountain Peak Charter School in Vista, CA, faced persistent challenges delivering consistent speech therapy to its roughly 650 students across a brick-and-mortar campus and widespread independent study programs. Reliance on contracted agency SLPs led to scheduling conflicts, missed sessions, and accruing compensatory time, which disrupted student progress—especially for older students at risk of long-term speech issues.

After an initial trial of PresenceLearning’s online speech therapy, Coordinator of Special Education Barbara Schmidt found the virtual model provided reliable, flexible scheduling that reached both campus and homeschooled students.
