Case Study: ServiceMaster achieves franchise and corporate success through improved hiring and job-fit with The Predictive Index

A The Predictive Index Case Study

Preview of the ServiceMaster Case Study

ServiceMaster achieved alignment across five brands through TO practices

ServiceMaster Canada, a division of ServiceMaster Co. with more than 350 franchised business licenses across Canada, faced persistent hiring and role-fit challenges at both the franchise and corporate levels. Vice President of Operations Ian England turned to The Predictive Index and its PI Behavioral Assessment™ to get a fast, science-based read on candidates’ core drives and behaviors so the organization could make better hiring and placement decisions.

The Predictive Index’s PI Behavioral Assessment was implemented across corporate hiring, onboarding, and the franchisee selection process (about 30–40 applications reviewed annually), and used to realign responsibilities for more than 50 corporate employees—including correcting mismatches such as Ian and his former operations manager. As a result, The Predictive Index enabled quicker, more objective identification of strengths and risks, clearer role expectations, improved franchisee selection probability for both start-up and mature models, and better guidance for franchisee people management.
