How Watercare reimagined partnerships and teams

Watercare, New Zealand’s largest water supplier, faced organizational transitions that revealed misaligned hires, high turnover in parts of the business, and transactional contractor relationships. To address these challenges they worked with The Predictive Index—using PI’s talent‑optimization tools and a PI Certified Partner, Predictive Insight (consultant Odelle Bell)—to introduce objective behavioral data and raise self‑awareness across individuals, teams, and partners.

The Predictive Index’s PI solutions and Predictive Insight’s consulting helped Watercare recalibrate roles, form more cohesive teams (including a new “Program First” team), and shift procurement toward collaborative partnerships. As a result Watercare accredited 14 employees to coach teams using behavioral data, improved retention and team alignment, and gained practical, tactical methods to better attract, develop and place talent.
