How GattiHR helped PIH build remote team culture during a pandemic

GattiHR, a search, analytics and talent-optimization firm, helped Partners In Health rapidly stand up remote contact-tracing teams during the COVID-19 crisis. The challenge was hiring and organizing a large, disparate pool of candidates with no existing blueprint for remote public-health work—prioritizing behavioral fit traits like empathy, attention to detail and resilience. To meet this need, GattiHR leveraged behavioral data and PI assessments from The Predictive Index to evaluate candidates and shape team culture from day one.

Using The Predictive Index, GattiHR administered PI assessments to every candidate as PIH hired nearly 2,000 people in April and May, generating role-specific interview questions, profiling supervisors’ teams (average span ~12 tracers), and guiding training and placement decisions. The Predictive Index-enabled approach let GattiHR optimize remote team composition and communication at scale, accelerate onboarding, and ensure hires matched the empathy- and resilience-driven culture critical for effective contact tracing.
