Syarikat Takaful Malaysia Berhad, a Kuala Lumpur–based Islamic insurer, faced ageing IBM Power5 hardware and end-of-life IBM i5/OS and AIX systems while migrating core Group and General Takaful applications and DB2 for i databases to modern platforms under a tight GST-driven timeline. To address performance, security and real-time replication needs, they engaged IBM and Precisely, leveraging Precisely’s Assure MIMIX HA and Connect solutions to support the migrations and enable cross‑platform replication to Microsoft SQL Server.

Precisely implemented Assure MIMIX HA for hot replication on IBM Power 720 servers and used Connect to populate the Microsoft SQL Server behind the Customer and Agency Portal, delivering real‑time replication, stronger data integrity and seamless production-to-DR failovers.
