Strategic Fulfillment Group (SFG), a mid-sized order fulfillment provider that operates a single relational database holding roughly 14 billion records and extensive IBM i IFS usage, needed near-zero downtime and zero data loss to keep customers from defecting. To protect its multi-partition IBM Power Systems environment and meet stringent availability requirements, SFG engaged Precisely and chose Assure MIMIX HA with the Assure MIMIX Global add-on.

Precisely implemented Assure MIMIX HA/Global to perform real-time replication of applications, data and system state between two sites about 25 miles apart, enabling fast failover of clustered LPARs and supporting recovery point objectives of zero data loss. The deployment delivered continuous operations under very high transaction volumes, minimal downtime, and proven failover performance (a role-swap test produced just 4 minutes, 9 seconds of web cluster downtime), with Precisely’s service ensuring a smooth migration and ongoing reliability.
