ProHealth Care - Customer Case Study

ProHealth Care, a major provider of health services and the largest employer in Waukesha County, faced a critical business continuity challenge when its tape‑based backups could not deliver the rapid recovery required for mission‑critical systems such as Lawson, Groupcast, Eclipsys, Kronos and Sunquest running on IBM Power Systems. To eliminate downtime and protect its critical data and applications, ProHealth worked with CDW and selected Precisely’s Assure MIMIX DR for AIX.

Precisely implemented Assure MIMIX DR for AIX to provide continuous data protection and replication between ProHealth’s primary data center and its remote hosting recovery center (protecting 7 IBM Power servers at the primary site and 3 at the recovery site). The solution delivered cost‑effective business continuity, fast point‑in‑time recovery (via a “dial back” feature), seamless protection of major applications, successful failovers (including recovery from a database corruption), regular DR testing to meet audit requirements, and improved confidence backed by Precisely’s support.
