Orange Romania broadens data access for greater operational visibility

Orange România, a leading Romanian telecom with over 10 million customers, faced a need to centralize coverage, service and incident data so customer service teams could quickly answer location-specific questions while keeping sensitive maps on-premises. To modernize its internally developed CovXpert application and widen access without moving confidential data to the cloud, the company turned to Precisely and its Spectrum Spatial platform.

Precisely rebuilt CovXpert on an on-premises Spectrum Spatial deployment, enabling fast customization, role-based access controls, consumer-style map views and GIS analyses with economic filters while keeping data internal. The Precisely solution has broadened access to more than 1,100 internal users, improved operational visibility for outage handling and maintenance prioritization, and simplified deployment and ongoing management.
