NH NongHyup Life Insurance, Korea’s largest mutual insurer for the agricultural and livestock sectors, needed to overhaul its actuarial systems to meet new IFRS 17 accounting standards but found its complex actuarial processing was overwhelming its IBM AIX servers. To build a dedicated IBM Power/AIX environment without further degrading live operations, NH NongHyup Life Insurance selected Precisely and its Connect ETL product to handle the large-scale, non-disruptive data migration and ongoing data integration.

Precisely implemented Connect, which installed in minutes and let the team graphically configure ETL workflows rapidly — one engineer created the first 50 workflows in a single day — ultimately building 120 workflows run in batch to migrate all actuarial data with minimal system load. Precisely’s Connect completed the migration without impacting current operations, enabled continuous uploads from NAS to the new actuarial databases, and provided a scalable, high‑performance foundation for the company’s IFRS 17 programs.
