L’Occitane Group, a global omnichannel leader in natural cosmetics, struggled to build personalized customer relationships because customer data was scattered across siloed systems and duplicate records in its CRM caused costly, repetitive marketing and GDPR risks. To address this, L’Occitane selected the Spectrum Technology Platform from Precisely to create a unified Data Lake and Master Data Management foundation.
Precisely implemented the Spectrum platform (including MDM, Data Quality, Integration, Stewardship and the Context Graph) to consolidate and link customer records via a graph-based model, integrate 19 standalone systems, and expose centralized data through Spectrum APIs. The result: deduplication time dropped from 150 minutes to under five minutes (enabling daily, not weekly, dedupe), faster real-time onboarding and more personalized, GDPR-compliant marketing and customer service.
