IMA Financial Group needed an affordable disaster recovery solution to protect its Sagitta agency management system and all underlying data from tornadoes and other disasters, ensuring recovery beyond nightly tape backups. The company selected Precisely and its Assure MIMIX DR for AIX to meet this requirement.

Precisely implemented Assure MIMIX DR for AIX using near‑real‑time replication and continuous data protection, installing the software remotely in two sessions (about four hours) and repurposing IMA’s old IBM server as the backup so no additional hardware was required. The backup server was moved offsite to Denver, the systems automatically resynchronize, tested failover takes about one minute, and the solution delivers automatic protection of all data, faster recovery, reduced tape reliance, and greater peace of mind.
