ASUG, the world’s largest SAP user group, needed to streamline material master data authoring across a complex global supply chain where hundreds of fields, many SAP screens, inconsistent values and limited visibility were slowing ERP-driven decision-making. To tackle poor data quality and cumbersome processes, ASUG engaged Precisely and its SAP data automation capabilities.

Precisely implemented its Automate Evolve / Automate Studio platform to redesign role-based forms, enforce field- and role-level security, limit selectable values (reducing visible material types from 63 to 9) and consolidate 18 SAP views into a single, web-based form. The result: users now see as few as 34 role-specific fields (down from 150+), form completion time dropped from ~30 minutes to 5 minutes, materials can be created 89% faster and changed 77% faster, and 30+ users reported the new forms are intuitive and easier to use.
