Dupré Logistics, a 24/7 nationwide freight mover that runs core applications on IBM i and protects about 1 terabyte of data, needed to eliminate both planned maintenance downtime and the risk of hurricane-related outages. To achieve continuous availability, Dupré selected Precisely’s Assure iTERA HA to provide fully synchronized, geographically distant redundancy.

Precisely implemented Assure iTERA HA with a real-time replica hosted ~500 miles away in Atlanta, enabling fast role swaps for maintenance or disaster recovery. The solution delivered clear results: a production/backup role swap during a Power6→Power7 upgrade completed in 22 minutes with no customer impact, daily audits now take just 5–15 minutes, and planned downtime has been minimized while requiring little day-to-day management.
