Covéa, a French mutual insurance group comprising the MAAF, MMA and GMF brands that serves over 11.5 million people, faced rising climate- and technology-driven exposures and tighter prudential rules (Solvabilité 2 and Catnat). To build an enterprise risk management culture and incorporate Location Intelligence across the business, Covéa turned to Precisely’s Spectrum Spatial to bring spatial analysis into its risk workflows and customer-facing services.
Using Precisely’s Spectrum Spatial, Covéa integrated geocoded addresses, BI feeds and third‑party data (meteorological, natural disaster and demographic) into its “Cogéorisks” platform, publishing dynamic maps and dashboards across the intranet. The implementation continuously refines risk algorithms and forecasting, enabling pricing of complex industrial sites, area‑specific exposure calculations, on‑site customer support mobilization, and group‑wide decision tools—turning spatial analysis into a competitive advantage and supporting expansion into new business-risk sectors.
